THE WAY SALVATION WORKS

It was Noah’s faith that saved his children. Noah was both genetically pure and morally righteous, and these attributes saved him and his family. The Bible does not say that Noah’s family was also righteous and deserved to be saved. They were spared because of their association with the righteous Noah. This illustrates how salvation works. Jesus lived a life of perfect righteousness. He did not sin, and therefore, He did not deserve to die, either. God raised Him from the dead, and others can join him simply by associating with Him and His righteousness and be spared from the final judgment. This is confirmed by Paul’s writings:

“For as by one man’s disobedience [Adam’s] many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience [Christ’s] many will be made righteous” (Romans 5:19).
